About me

I am a PR who became interested in the potential of podcasting in early 2005 and through this discovered social networking and the thing that is being called web 2.0.

I have worked in public relations on the agency side for 19 years and during that time have covered almost all aspect of the business from consumer brands through to corporate, issues management and financial work – working in both the UK and overseas. However, one area I have never worked in is technology PR and I am absolutely not a techy.

I have decided not to reveal any more information about myself for the time being both because I am not sure how this information would add value to what I have to say and also because I am intrigued by the idea of creating a digital identity which, while being an accurate and truthful extension of my off-network identity, none-the-less remains separate from it.

About this blog

This blog is a record of my thoughts and its principal purpose is to remind myself of what I thought and found-out yesterday so that it doesn’t become buried by what I thought and found-out today. I have decided to record this as a blog because the blog format is a convenient way of creating a diary, it imposes a form of discipline in recording my thoughts and because at some point, others may be interested either in what I have to say or the journey I am on.
